Records management standard
  • The National Archives of Korea is developing various standards for managing records and archives. The standards apply to the public agencies or records institutions prescribed in the Public Records and Archives Act. The standards are best practices, supporting the diverse records or archives management. Record managers or archivists should comply with and use them in each own working area. The standards show the principles, processes or specific approaches of records and archives management of Korea. They are based on the ISO records management standards or ICA best practices.
  • Among the 43 public standards, very basic and important standards in common over the world are posted below. You can find the purpose, abstract and content of each standard. If you have any question, please let us know by email.

* The Composition of Standard Number: NAK(the National Archives of Korea) + Serial number + Final implementation/revision year + Version number(enactment: 1.0, revision: 1.1, 1.2, etc.)
